In this role you will support the delivery of current projects for the Department, including program management of Local Government Grants, supporting Department's Districts and local governments to implement planning advice on strategies, plans and projects

**Duties of the Role Include**:

- Active transport planning:_
- Supporting the preparation of walking network plan and priority works programs by the Department's Districts and local governments across Queensland
- Supporting the establishment of an interactive mapping platform to store completed walking network plans
- Review and provide active transport related comments and advice on internal and external transport, land use/development strategies, plans and projects
- Program management including:_
- Supporting Walking Local Government Grants program including grant assessment process, funding agreements, review of resulting network plans and priority works programs, acquittal, evaluation.
- Project management and planning support including: _
- Deliver selected actions in the Action Plan for Walking and the Queensland Cycling Action Plan
- Support delivery of other active transport projects as required (e.g., undertake research, draft correspondence, organise workshops, take minutes, collate feedback, report on projects, review guidelines and assist with development of project documentation).
- Stakeholder engagement including:_
- Coordinate regular reporting in partnership with other Queensland Government agencies
- Support ongoing liaison and engagement with state government, local government, and community stakeholders towards implementation of the Action Plan for Walking
- Stakeholder engagement related to project and program delivery

**About you**:

- Experience in active transport planning, project and program management and stakeholder engagement support
- Ability to work autonomously under tight timeframes and deliver tasks to a high standard with mínimal supervision.
- Liaise, consult and maintain effective relationships with team members, and internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, MapInfo, ArcGIS are not mandatory but are highly regarded.
- Previous experience working in state or local government is highly regarded.
