**About the role**

We’re looking for a skilled and meticulous Traffic Planner and Operations Coordinator with a strong commitment to safety to join our team at our Dandenong South office.

**Key responsibilities**
- Explore new projects with new and existing clients and recommend suitable traffic solutions
- Develop accurate Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and traffic guidance schemes (TGS) efficiently and in accordance with VicRoads, AGTTM, local council, and other regulatory requirements
- Develop swept path analysis for various size trucks and passenger vehicles.
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments during development, clearly documenting controls in all plans
- Consult with all relevant stakeholders including VicRoads, local councils, emergency services and public transport operators
- Prepare and submit various stakeholder permits including; MOA’s, WWRR’s, SEMS, relevant council permits and TMP approvals
- Implement plans and communicate to the team any specific operational requirements
- Coordinate and schedule traffic control resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project timelines
- Liaise with on site staff and operations team to ensure TMPs align with project objectives
- Conduct site audits to ensure accurate TMP implementation
- Inspect vehicles to ensure vehicle maintenance is undertaken on time, sufficient equipment is present on the vehicle and signs are in their usual organized places
- Prepare traffic vehicle signage for upcoming events

**Experience and Competencies**
- Minimum 2+ years traffic planning experience, or 3+ years in traffic control
- Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word) and design software like Adobe Illustrator (CAD knowledge advantageous
- A thorough understanding of AGTTM, relevant Codes of Practice and legislation
- Keen, advanced eye for traffic planning and operational details
- Understanding of safety management systems, practices and procedures
- Proficiency in providing recommendations for hazard minimization
- Self-motivated with the ability to be proactive and solutions driven with tasks
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional conduct and positive attitude

**Qualifications**
- Construction Induction/White Card
- Current Driver’s License
- Current Traffic Management Design qualifications

- Civil Engineering Degree (advantageous, not required)
