Delivering high quality initiatives designed to promote reading and writing and deliver public programming through strategic partnerships while meeting State Library service commitments
- Managing and developing a high performing Reading, Writing & Ideas team focused on the delivery of sustainable, creative and engaging programs. This includes planning and overseeing the day-to-day workflows of the team, and delivering on key service objectives and organisational priorities such as supporting and developing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers, editors and industry development
- Leading and overseeing activities that grow knowledge and understanding of the value of the writing sector. This includes the coordination of the Queensland Literary Awards and the black&write Indigenous Writing and Editing ProjectB
- Building and sustaining effective working relationships and external networks to support the delivery, value and reach of programs and services in the writing sector. This includes managing partnership assessments, agreements and evaluations
- Researching, evaluating and preparing funding submissions in the corporate, philanthropic and government sectors capable of supporting reading, writing and public programming initiatives while ensuring they meet State Library's service delivery targets. This includes managing and monitoring contractual obligations and milestones, measuring satisfaction levels, quality standards and operational objectives
