**Aboriginal Liaison Officer**

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Aboriginal Liaison Officer (ALO) to join our team on a casual basis.

**About the Role**

As ALO you will be required to liaise with Aboriginal patients, their families and health professionals for the delivery of culturally appropriate health care; provide emotional, social and cultural support to Aboriginal inpatients and their families whilst working alongside Social Work to provide discharge planning services to Aboriginal patients. We are looking for an Aboriginal Liaison Officer who will contribute to our team culture and will be committed to upholding and promoting the Ramsay Way core values.

**About You**

Along with your commitment to upholding and promoting Ramsay’s core values, you will also meet the following essential criteria:

- Aboriginality (under Section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act 1984) is essential for this position
- Aboriginal Health Worker qualifications or equivalent work experience or prior learning
- Demonstrated ability in communicating/consulting with Aboriginal people and communities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, determining priorities, meeting deadlines, planning and organising work
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Well-developed advocacy

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:

- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19, **a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases
