As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide strategic and operational human resource leadership, advice, and support to promote the achievement of key business objectives within the Detpak business.
Detpak is the dynamic sales and marketing arm of the Detmold Group, created to specifically service the packaging needs of the food service industry. Detpak works with, and supplies some of Australia’s biggest take-away food brands as well as customer groups including up-market coffee roasters, cafes, bakeries and a vast distribution network.
More specifically, you will:

- Effectively partner with the business to provide technical advice and support for recruitment, employment matters and performance management
- Assist with coaching the Senior Management Team through People & Culture related issues and developing capability
- Support managers to motivate and engage with their teams and deliver required results
- Build trust and effective relationships with employees to drive employee engagement
- Assist with employee relation issues as they arise and provide advice, guidance, coaching and support to managers on employment matters
- Facilitate the effective onboarding of new employees (including maternity/paternity returns) and exit of leavers
- Continuously work to improve existing HR Policies, Procedures and Practices
- Actively collaborate with and contribute to the People & Culture community
- Respond to People & Culture queries and other ad hoc duties as required

To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:

- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Organisational Development, Business or other relevant discipline
- Previous experience working in a People & Culture role within sales or manufacturing
- Flexibility, adaptability and mental agility to deliver commercially astute outcomes
- Broad & contemporary knowledge of human resources matters
- Previous experience partnering with Senior Managers and coaching and developing them to achieve business objectives
- Resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A positive, ‘can do’ approach with high levels of initiative and motivation
- Strong commitment to the provision of service excellence
- High levels of personal integrity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
