**Your Role**: Reporting to the National People and Culture Operations Manager, The People and Culture Business Partner (P&C BP) will provide comprehensive P&C advisory support to local Leaders, Managers and Employees, while partnering with the local General Manager of SA.

**You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following**:

- Support the business in driving a culture of high engagement and high performance, through supporting initiatives and programs including our global and national employee engagement surveys
- The P&C BP will provide front line ER support, advice and coaching to the local leadership teams including Managers, Leaders and GMs
- Partnering with the South Australian Senior Leadership Group this role supports the local business to deliver value-added services that reflect the broader P&C objectives
- Champion P&C initiatives within the local business, and nationally, such as Inclusion & Diversity, EEO, Bullying, Harassment training.
- Case manage any ER and RTW cases that might arise, with a focus on proactive management and early intervention and support by providing workplace advice to resolve first level issues / grievances in local business
- Support effective utilization of GB’s Performance framework, providing performance management training for all staff and managers.
- Drive performance management processes and behaviours in the local business to assist the achievement of the business objectives.
- Advise Leaders and Managers on the management of non-performance (e.g. policy interpretation, coaching, etc) and develop leadership capability to enable effective performance management practices.
- Support the change processes (including milestones, timelines, guidelines and toolkits) by building a shared enthusiasm and purpose for change and supporting individuals in the local business to manage change.
- Partner with Talent Attraction Partners to consult with Leaders and Managers to understand role needs, develop/refine position descriptions and evaluate roles.
- Successfully driving fortnightly Workforce Planning meetings from end-to-end
- Support local engagement committees and contribute to the success of initiatives such as wellbeing, inclusion and volunteering opportunities.

**We’re interested in hearing from people who possess**:

- Experience in a previous Generalist or Business Partnering position within a corporate environment (essential).
- Comfortable supporting an Operational client group of up to 300 employees with a view to expand
- Strong generalist understanding of HR legislation, risk and compliance issues
- Previously demonstrated ability to work with high level stakeholders with a focus on customer service delivery in the P&C space
- Previous experience with leadership development and succession planning
- Previous experience in fast-paced, high intensity industry
- Ability to deal confidently with staff at all levels, you must have strong communication skills and consistently aim to provide the highest level of customer service to your client group.
- Strong understanding of workplace relations legislation
- Tertiary qualification in HR
