**About this Position**:

- We are excited to offer multiple opportunities for Works Coordinators to join our Roads department. The Works Coordinator**is an integral position within the Roads and Quarry section of the Chief Operating Office. The primary function of the Works Coordinator**is to ensure the efficient, safe, and effective coordination of capital works projects and maintenance works associated with all transport assets. This role involves managing staff, plant, equipment, and contractors involved in the Delivery section.

**What we trust you to deliver**:

- Lead and inspire teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in road construction and maintenance, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Strategically plan and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to ensure efficient and timely completion of capital and maintenance works
- Foster a strong safety culture to protect the well-being of staff, contractors, and the community
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build strong working relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment with objectives
- Drive innovative approaches to process improvement and adopt industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Certificate IV in Project Management, Civil Construction, Frontline Management, or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Essential qualifications, certificates and licences
- 10+ years of experience in transport infrastructure, maintenance, and construction supervision
- Proven skills in leadership, team development, and conflict resolution, with the ability to drive engagement and accountability
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, risk management, and financial planning, with a track record of delivering projects within budget and deadlines
- A passion for Lismore and personal values that align with our mission

**Full Time**: 76 hours per fortnight

**Positions**:A talent pool will be created for casual, fixed-term and permanent Works Coordinator positions

**Salary**: Attractive wages and conditions, including a 76-hour fortnight with an RDO, plus on-call and overtime opportunities

**Closing date**: Friday 10 January 2025 at 9am

**Conditions of Employment**: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
