**The Role**

Tasks include:

- Undertake PGPA Section 23 Delegations
- Oversight and management of region financial registers
- Undertake DOTAM HQ purchasing via DPC and CMS process
- Coordination and booking of travel and CMS acquittal function for the DDOTAM
- Advise DDOTAM of all financial irregularities and record any identified non-compliance
- Manage the annual unit budget including mandatory reporting requirements,
- Acquit all financial transactions in accordance with CMS acquittal and recording requirements.
- Act as CMS Admin Centre Controller
- Undertake ROMAN system approval roles and financial delegations where applicable.
- Manage travel approvals in regards to finance availability and appropriate record keeping

Required to have Negative Vetting Level 1 or no known impediments to achieving this.

**About our Team**
Directorate of Operations and Training Area Management - Victoria and Tasmania (DOTAM VIC/TAS) is a team of approximately 25 experienced ADF and APS members, spread across Victoria and Tasmania, with the following broad responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain SEG allocated Training Areas and Ranges (TAR) and coordinate Defence use of Non-Defence Training Areas (NDTA)
- Contribute to and support the development of the training area estate
- Manage SEG input and coordination of local Domestic Defence operations and exercises
- Manage Joint Operations Support Tasks in VIC/TASDOTAM VIC/TAS is part of a national network of state-based DOTAM offices, and is subordinate to HQ DOTAM in Canberra. DOTAM VIC/TAS houses the majority of its workforce in Defence Plaza, Melbourne.

The head of DOTAM VIC/TAS is the Deputy Director Operations and Training Areas Management VIC/TAS, referred to as DDOTAM VIC/TAS.

To be successful in this role you will;
- Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable
- Have a very good level of computer literacy
- Be capable of working with a wide variety of team members and stakeholders
- Strong communication to be able to respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work, unit and Defence outcomes
- Ability to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance.
- Have a background that includes finance, travel, simple procurement - preferably in a Defence environment
- Will prefer to work in a small team environment, and be enthusiastic in contributing to the team success, through the diligent performance of all duties
- Relevant experience with Reservist management will be viewed favorably
