**The Role**:Community Inspector

We are looking for a Community Inspector to join our Regulatory Services team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

**What you’ll be doing**

- Undertake investigations to compile briefs and reports across Regulatory Services matters.
- Provide high level advice and recommendations through interpretation of legislation, education and awareness programs, and ongoing support to the community.
- Accurate and timely response to customer related enquiries through various forms of correspondence.
- Identify hazards and implement safety protocols, to ensure a safe system of work.

**What you’ll bring to our team**

The successful applicant will hold a Certificate IV in Regulatory Services or equivalent demonstrated experience in a Regulatory Service, Security or Enforcement environment.

In addition you will have:

- A comprehensive working knowledge in interpretation of relevant Acts, By-laws and Legislation.
- High level interpersonal, customer service and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision.
- Passion for public service, community safety and compliance in the local community.
- Local government experience would be an added bonus but not essential
