**The opportunity**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Advanced Analytics and Insights Branch within the Customer, Strategy and Technology Division as a Data Governance Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at the Macquarie Park Office.

TfNSW offers hybrid/flexible working arrangements with a balance of office and work from home options.

If successful, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining data governance processes and practices at an enterprise level. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure data quality, compliance, and privacy, while promoting a data-driven culture across the organisation.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Assist the Data Governance Manager to design, create, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and create the procedures by leveraging and embedding the latest technology to achieve the best outcome.
- Manage and own the relationship to better collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable the entire organisation to establish data standards andensure adherence to best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on data governance/management-related matters.
- Work alongside the data domain owners and operational data stewards on specific tactical data steward teams that are set up for the duration of issue resolution or project-focused task

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, commence or data analytics or equivalent professional experience in a data setting.
- Good understanding of data management principles, practices, and frameworks.
- A strategic mindset that enables you to effectively analyse complex issues, develop innovation solutions, and provide actionable recommendations to support and drive business outcomes.
- Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver multiple outcomes within tight timeframes where attention to detail is essential.
- Proven track record of establishing and nurturing positive relationships with staff, management, and stakeholders while possessing exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and foster collaboration.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including experience in the preparation of high-quality correspondence and presentations to support effective communication of progress, risks and issues to Senior Leaders and Executives.
- Relevant certifications in data/IT risk management, data privacy, data governance are a plus, such as CIPM, CISA, DAMA etc.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Grade 7 ($108,770 - $121,822) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
