**The Division **- **Advanced Analytics & Insights Team**

We are a trusted partner to our clients, within Customer Strategy and Technology, developing and delivering smart, integrated, and sustainable data and analytics solutions which enable evidence-driven decisions to benefit our customers and communities, and leading an uplift in data literacy of use of data insights across the cluster.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager - Glossary to join the Advanced Analytics and Insight team within Customer, Strategy and Technology.

You will be responsible for managing the data glossary for the enterprise so that the cluster can understand the data it produces and uses. The role is also responsible for the delivery of cluster’s data dictionary. The role works with the Data Governance Team to ensure that both the business glossary and data dictionary are integrated into the data governance framework for the Cluster.

This role is a permanent full time based at Macquarie Park with flexible work options, with one or two days at office.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Development of Business Glossary standards and procedures including a step by step guide on how to complete business glossary entries using Cluster-wide data management tool.
- Preparing and conduct training course to demonstrate the importance and the use of the Cluster-wide data management tool for the management of the spoke’s Business Glossaries.
- Defining roles and responsibilities of Data Owners, Data Stewards, Business Analysts and AAIs governance team covering the different stages of business glossary management.
- Development and design of the Business Glossary approval / maintenance workflow using the Clusterwide data management tool.
- Auditing and validating that all the Business Glossary items submitted meet the Cluster-wide approved standards as well as ensuring no duplication and / or ambiguity exist in the entries.

**About you**:

- Experience with data governance and metadata management tools like Collibra.
- Experience in implementing frameworks, policies, processes, and transformational agendas in large organisations.
- Excellent Data analysis skills using SQL.
- Experience with the security model and granting of permissions within RDBMS.
- Experience with AWS IAM roles and user/resource permissioning.
- Experience in supervising / implementing data validation and data checks across data lifecycle.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 8 ($123,470 - $138,284) plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
