About the role*

The Midstream Shutdown team has a great opportunity for a Shutdown Lead (Onshore). Located in Perth and reporting to the Shutdown Team Leader of Midstream Infrastructure. This role is responsible for safe and effective delivery of shutdown events across the midstream business. While the role is Perth based it is expected that a reasonable amount of field time will be required.

In addition, you will also be accountable for providing project technical services that deliver fit for purpose solutions to maximise value to the operation.

Accountabilities of the role are in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Responsibilities include (but not limited to):*
- Maximising resource and asset effectiveness by working closely with asset areas and relevant support departments.
- Ensuring that the event ownership, methodology and objectives are clearly defined, understood, and agreed by all stakeholders.
- Ensuring that the Event Planning Milestones are met, processes are followed or where deviations are unavoidable a clear concise action plan is in place to return the schedule back on track.
- Ensuring that a total resource profile for each event is accurately reflected, and all reasonable optimisation opportunities, resource constraints or supplementary resource requirements have been identified and clearly communicated within timeframes.
- Ensuring that an event timeline exists for all medium to large events and it is fully optimised with a very clear critical path.
- Ensuring the event’s planned costs are within budget constraints with any exceptions communicated to and endorsed by the relevant asset manager.
- Ensuring that all milestones, event gating and readiness requirements are met, adequate monitoring is in place throughout the preparation, planning, gating, execution and close out processes to ensure actions and escalations are in place.
- Managing seconded labour and supervision, and assigned contractors for shutdown events

About you*

To be successful in this role you will need to display a comprehensive and broad knowledge of the energy industry and associated legislation, regulations, and project management techniques as well as management of high value engineering and construction contracts. Experience as a Power user of scheduling and project management tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and Asset / Maintenance management tools such as Maximo, SAP will be an advantage.
