What is the role?

Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of ACT Policing Family Law Court Liaison - Team Member.

ACT Policing is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic team member to lead the implementation and monitoring of the establishment of the Family Law Court Liaison role. The role falls within Judicial Operations, and will report to the Sergeant of the Liaison Officer team, and the Officer in Charge of Judicial Operations.

As a Team Member in the AFP you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any of the requirements of the position outlined below.

What will you do?

Your primary role to facilitate the timely and efficient transfer of information between the Family Court and ACT Policing while working alongside partner agencies. The position requires strong relationship management skills with a view to improving the lawful release of information, allowing Family Courts to take informed action in relation to Family Law matters.

**The role requires**:
The ability to build and maintain relationships both externally and internally.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of AFP legislation and governance relating to information disclosure, privacy and information security.
Ability to search and navigate PROMIS and other information management systems.
Ability to represent ACT Policing in forums, meetings and to support milestone reporting to the Attorney Generals department.
Committed to the ongoing development of the liaison officer position within the Family Law Court.
Ability to work with mínimal supervision and as part of a small cohesive team.

A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
