What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitable qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Victims Rights Liaison Officer, Judicial Operations, City Police Station - ACT Policing.
ACT Policing are seeking highly motivated, independently driven and enthusiasm team member to continue developing the Victims Rights Liaison Officer role. The role falls within Judicial Operations and will report to the Sergeant of the Capability & Business Improvement Team, and the Officer in Charge of Judicial Operations.
As a Team Member in the AFP, you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any of the requirements of the position outlined below.

What will you do?
Your primary role is to lead the implementation and monitoring of obligations by ACT Policing under the ACT Charter of Rights for Victims of Crime and Victims of Crime Act 1994 (ACT).
**The role requires**:
Successfully plan, manage and complete projects relevant to Victims’ Rights issues.
Researching, analysing and formulating policy and governance solutions to existing and emerging organisational obligations in relation to Victims’ Rights.
Design and deliver targeted Victims of Crime Charter of Rights training, education and awareness sessions to ACTP members/recruits on a consistent basis.
Consult and liaise with relevant areas of ACTP and external stakeholders (including Victims Support ACT, ACT Office of Department of Public Prosecutions), on complex policy, performance and significant organisational issues that relate specifically to Victims’ Rights.
Liaise regularly with Victims Support ACT and other key Victims’ Rights advocates to support resolving Victim of Crime Charter concerns related to ACTP in a timely manner.
Ability to work with represent ACT Policing in forums, meetings and to support milestone reporting to ACT Government bodies.
Ability to search and navigate police indices (eg. PROMIS) and other information management systems.
Ability to work independently, with mínimal supervision and be part of a small cohesive team.
