Nursing Unit Manager of Perioperative Services

**We are seeking a fulltime perioperative nursing unit manager to assist the DoN and CEO in ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care to patients undergoing day surgery and to act as a resource person for the clinical staff.**
- Managing all clinical staff and rostering
- Promoting and ensuring safe patient care
- Ensure good communication, high standards and a happy work environment whilst also achieving an efficient and cost effective business.
- To have a comprehensive knowledge of the principles of Operating theatre management.
- To have a comprehensive knowledge of the accreditation process.
- To conduct self in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- To be skilled in effective communication with all members of the health team and public relations.
- To be able to demonstrate a high level of motivation in the achievement of set objectives.
- To have the ability to implement changes where necessary.
- To be reliable, punctual and consistent.
- To demonstrate strong personal organisational skills.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance at all times.
- To practice within the guidelines of professional codes of conduct, current professional practice and relevant Acts and Regulations.
- Maintain ongoing education by attending in-service lectures, seminars, conferences and memberships to professional bodies.
- To be able to demonstrate a high level of motivation in the achievement of set objectives.
- Maintain and implement quality systems in accordance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standard.

**To be successful in this position you must have the following criteria**:

- Previous management experience in operating theatres;
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA;
- Current WWC;
- minimum 5 years experience in theatre, recovery and anaeasthetics;
- Cat A immunisation for HCW including COVID vaccination.

**Salary**: $88,300.70 - $136,242.34 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
