This role is advertised under clause 6.9 of the Recruitment and Selection Directive 12/20, as limited to current Queensland Public Sector employees & DoE contractors ONLY. This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
**Responsibilities include**:
**The School Community Liaison Officer will**:
- Provide quality advice and assistance to parents, carers and other members of the school community across the region,
- Be the first point of contact for parents, carers and other community members wishing to enquire about departmental policy and guidelines,
- Take an active role in assisting community members to resolve their concerns and complaints by providing a conduit between the parents, carers and other community members and school personnel.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
