Murrumba State Secondary College is seeking a motivated and dynamic Industry Liaison Officer to join our team. In this exciting position, you'll help build valuable connections between students, industry, and the wider community. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.82FTE), 60 hours per fortnight. (6 hours per day across
5 days + ADO).

Murrumba State Secondary College is one of Queensland's most innovative and forward-thinking secondary schools, located in the vibrant community of Murrumba Downs, just 20km north of Brisbane. The college is known for its commitment to excellence, student success, and strong partnerships with industry and the wider community.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Assist in the ongoing delivery of the School Based Apprenticeship program and assist in managing business and industry partnerships to maximise opportunities for secondary students.
  • Establish and maintain effective networks and work collaboratively with business and industry groups to build strong and vibrant links that promote School Based Apprenticeships as a career pathway for students.
  • Assist in the development of innovative marketing and communication strategies and the coordination of special events for the school.
  • Source Australian School Based Apprenticeships opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placements in industry and potential School Based Apprenticeships.
  • Form connections and develop partnerships between school and employers that will assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices.
