Norris Road State School has approximately 630 students. About the Role
The Community Liaison Officer will facilitate and progress connection between the school and our First Nations Families through:
- Developing and implementing strategies for effective links between home and school and to encourage greater interest and participation in school activities and programs for our Indigenous students
- Promoting liaison activities to provide information to parents, the school and the community
- Establishing and monitoring school and First Nations community networks
- Carrying out administrative tasks associated with the position's duties including completing regular reports and contact notes
- Contributing to meeting agenda items, attending and participating in meetings relevant to the role
- Other duties relevant to the role as required
**A mandatory requirement of this role is**:
- In accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 a person is prohibited from working in regulated child-related employment unless the person holds a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
