Your Mission
As a Technical Writer your mission is to help support the design and delivery of a modern banking platform and supporting suite of services that provide simple and secure ways for our customers to engage with the bank by writing highly detailed, up-to-date documentation of tools, processes, and standards.
You’ll employ your love of tech with your love of writing to reshape how we delivery high-quality documentation, faster and more efficiently to our stakeholders, and will bring a creative, customer focused mindset to the role.
What Will Your Day Look Like?
The type of content which you will produce may include, but will not be limited to:
Operational Documentation (Procedural)
Design Documentation (Software and/or Infrastructure)
Team Communications
We will turn to you for suggestions on how to improve the documentation, documentation processes and documentation tooling to improve the overall documentation experience for writer and consumers alike.
What Will Be In Your Toolkit?
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent information gathering skills from technical stakeholders
Distilling gathered information into concise, yet complete documents
Writing accessible documentation (e.g. proper formatting, accessible language, proper grammar, defined acronyms, relevant hyperlinks and cross-references)
At least one document processing product (e.g. Microsoft Word, Google Docs)
A technical area in the IT space (e.g. Software Development, Cloud Engineering, DevOps)
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git)
Programmatically generated documentation
Documentation systems such as Confluence, Backstage, Wikimedia, Swagger, etc
Documentation formats such as Markdown, LaTeX, etc
