**The Role**
The Strategic Policy and Projects Division (SPP) is responsible for supporting the build and delivery of numerous IT system projects that support Australian Skills, Training, Apprenticeships and employers.

The SPP Project Management Office (PMO), through effective and efficient project management functions supports the Division and relevant executives in managing IT based projects. The PMO does this by ensuring a consistent view of each project is maintained through governance arrangements, reporting, financial and contract management.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

We are seeking an individual with the following skills and capabilities:

- Expertise and technical knowledge of secretariat functions and duties.
- Conduct secretariat duties for several projects including:

- Membership arrangements and terms of reference.
- Agenda, scheduling and forward planning.
- Developing and maintaining registers including but not limited to conflict of interest, and actions / decisions.
- Meeting operations, including bookings, facilities, papers etc.
- Maintaining and following standard operational procedures.
- Ability to provide accurate and complete information to support decision making within team/section or division as applicable.
- Ability to draft a range of documents to convey and understanding of key issues and complex matters. Documents may include minutes of meetings, ministerial correspondence, SES briefings (as required), talking points and other related materials.
- Ability to set priorities and ensure quality of outputs for the work area and self.
- Strong adaptability, initiative, sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive, trusted relationships and work collaboratively and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
