**The Role**
The APS6 Logistics OPS, Regional Planning & Forecasting Manager (LORPFM) is critical in supporting the Logistics Services Manager and providing assurance that W&D (including clothing) and Maintenance activities comply with the specific contract parameters, specifically the statement of work (SOW), and extant Defence policy.

The APS6 LORPFM analyses cost estimates and prioritises against logistics requirements in support of operations and raise train sustain activities, and coordinates supporting activities.

The APS6 LORPFM interfaces with the Services / SCB Maintenance Services Product Managers/ Regional Customers / CASG / Industry Partners and internal agencies to effectively deliver logistics capability to regional based customers and respond to supply chain specific short notice and /or emerging OPS requirements.

This position also assists with driving and coordinating innovative solutions to conflicting problems that emerge between the SPOs, dependencies/customers and the Industry Partners.

This position also understudies the Logistics Services Manager and works closely with the W&D Manager, Maintenance Manager and Technical Integrity Supervisor (TIS) to provide assurance that JLU (SQ) maintains its W&D and DMSS contract compliance.

Joint Logistics Unit South Queensland (JLU (SQ)) delivers logistics services to Defence customers in South East Queensland, nationally and overseas including warehousing, distribution and maintenance.

The APS6 Logistics OPS, Regional Planning & Forecasting Manager operates within the Logistics Services Management (LSM) team.

The LSM team is responsible for providing advice to senior leadership and accountable for the Logistics services, corporate governance and inventory assurance in the day-to-day operational function of JLU (SQ).

LSM Team plans, manages and performs Logistics support services to JLU (SQ), including our industry partners, across a broad range of functions and activities including warehousing, distribution and maintenance.
