**The Role**
Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) utilises Manpower Analysis and Planning Software (MAPS) to build and manage Operational Staffing Documents (OSDs) which define Service manning liabilities. DSN MAPS facilitates the nomination and force assignment of personnel for deployment on ADF joint operations, activities and exercises.
Working to an APS6 KM (MAPS Manager), the APS5 KM (MAPS Support Officer) will be responsible for first line support to DSN MAPS users in the production and management of OSDs. They will provide technical and reporting support, perform bulk data loading, data remediation, and assist with user training.
The incumbent would ideally have experience working with complex data using database or workforce management systems. They would demonstrate attention to detail and an ability to communicate effectively when providing support or training to a varied range of Defence stakeholders.
The incumbent may be called upon to deliver DSN MAPS training, virtually or face-to-face, with occasional inter-state travel. They would backfill the APS6 MAPS Manager position when required, and assist with maintaining DSN MAPS process documents and instructions.
**About our Team**
The APS5 KM position is established within the HQJOC J1 - Directorate of Personnel, which consists of military members from all three services, as well as several APS personnel. The J1 Directorate is comprised of a Personnel Operations section, and a Personnel Plans & Policy section.
This APS5 position will report directly to the APS6 KM (MAPS Manager), established within J1 Personnel Operations. The second-level supervisor is an Air Force Wing Commander.
Experience working in an ADF or joint environment, or in support of joint operations or exercises would be advantageous.
