**The Role**
As the EL 1 System Manager Operations, you will be responsible for the technical management of a highly complex capability, along with the overarching corporate responsibilities associated with such a strategically important role.
This includes the management of the day-to-day technical support to operations, including liaison with internal stakeholders and specifically the HQJOC system owner and operator. You will manage a multi-disciplinary technical team to ensure capabilities are appropriately supported and remain operationally available to support critical ADF and Government objectives by maintaining and engineering for the classified system and its interfaces.
As part of the Product Team within a SPO, the EL 1 System Manager Operations will work closely with, and in support of, the Sustainment Director, Project Manager and technical team Lead to contribute by driving continuous improvement, reform and capability uplift within the team.
The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following. BDCPs provide remuneration in addition to the Defence Enterprise Agreement (EA).

About JC2SPO - The Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2SPO) is responsible for the acquisition, integration and sustainment of command, and control warfare systems for the Australian Defence Force across the country and in operational theatres overseas.
JC2SPO acquires and sustains joint-information warfare capabilities that are mission critical to all three services of the Australian Defence Force. JC2SPO is responsible for the delivery and sustainment of Joint Data Networks (JDN), and Command Support Systems.
