LINK Community & Transport provides a variety of individual and group community services, personal support services such as in-home care, and community transport solutions to vulnerable, aged, and people with a disability across northern and western Melbourne.
LINK's purpose is to serve the community and minimise social exclusion – to help residents remain safe, happy, and healthy in their own home – living well – connected to services and community.
LINK's revenue is drawn from Local, State and Federal funding, philanthropic sources and the user pays both directly and via NDIS and My Aged Care packages.
The Position:
LINK is looking for a CEO to implement the organisation's strategic objectives, lead the LINK team in service delivery that meets all quality, safety, operational and financial targets, direct business development, community engagement, and ensure the effective use of human and other resources, including assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Implementation: Assist the Board develop the Strategic plan. Implement the plan, aligning it to the overall mission and vision.
- Governance: Ensure all operating and control systems are held to account by using ethics, risk management, compliance, and administration.
- Operational and Safety Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and effectiveness in all areas of the organisation.
- Financial Management: Managing budgets, financial planning, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, local, state, and federal regulators, and other organisations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support senior staff, lead by example, and foster a positive and productive work culture and environment consisting of both employees and volunteers, utilising a continuous improvement approach.
- Public Relations and Advocacy: Enhancing the advocacy message and representing LINK in public forums and meetings, advocating for its mission, and enhancing its public image.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, reporting on organisational performance to the Board and regulators as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- Financial management including opex and capex budgeting, P&L and balance sheet analysis, forecasting tools, debtors, creditors, and payroll management.
- Experience in embedding a collaborative and safe workplace culture, with LTI management and continuous improvement processes.
- Experience working with a board of directors.
- A sound working knowledge of the regulatory and program requirements of Aged Care Act and Support at Home changes (Home Care) and NDIS – related Commonwealth, State and Local government programs – and (ideally) transport sector best practice.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with Government and community stakeholders.
- MBA or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or minimum of 10 years at leadership or senior management level, including some commercial experience in the NFP sector.
A competitive salary commensurate with responsibilities, expectations, qualifications, and experience is on offer, along with salary packaging provisions and employer superannuation. The role is based at the Thomastown office/depot.
