**About the role**
Are you passionate about fostering community resilience and supporting those impacted by drug use? We’re looking for an innovative leader to design and implement a vital support program for individuals in the North Richmond precinct who have witnessed public injecting or experienced the aftermath of an overdose. In this dynamic role, you will engage with the community and service providers to create a sustainable support model through co-design and collaboration.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage with a range of key stakeholders and members of the community.
- Chair a working group to support the design and delivery of the service response.
- Utilize project management principles to drive successful implementation.
- Carry out additional duties as required to support the program's success.
**About you**
We are seeking a compassionate and driven individual who thrives on collaboration and community engagement. You will have the expertise to navigate complex social issues and a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by drug-related harm.
- Tertiary or vocational qualifications in community development, public health, or project management.
- Proven experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to assess and respond to community needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding or ability to quickly learn contemporary best practices in community capacity building.
