The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a **Project Officer** to provide a critical role within Counter Terrorism Coordination team.
**About the Business Unit**
The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising of Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
Corrections Victoria is responsible for a safe, secure and humane system that provides programs and services that support rehabilitation through addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Counter Terrorism Coordination (CTC) within Sentence Management Division, is responsible for the operational strategic direction of CVE across Corrections Victoria and Justice Services. CTC ensures that CJS' approach to CVE evolves with current and emerging evidence of good practice in the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals at risk of committing or who have committed religiously or ideologically motivated violent extremism.
CTC works closely with a range of internal stakeholders including Complex Classification Unit, Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit, Forensic Intervention Services and Parole Central Unit, as well as external stakeholders including Victoria Police, Attorney General's Department, Australian Federal Police and the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office.
**About the Role**
The Project Officer works within the Counter Terrorism Coordination team to lead and support various projects to strengthen the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Service Delivery Model across Corrections and Justice Services and provide operational support including to the Violent Extremism Identification Panel.
Some of your duties will include:
- Maintain data and project planning for the Violent Extremism Identification Panel and the review process, including preparing agendas and minute taking.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and focus on understanding their key issues.
- Develop project scopes and briefs that clearly define the requirements and objectives of the project.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent data management, written and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in project management teams, ideally within in a Government environment, is desirable.
- Knowledge/experience in either the field of violent extremism or operational environments is desirable.
**Qualifications/requirements**
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
