**Location**: Char House

**Position**: Casual Front-of-House Waitstaff

**Pay Rate**: $32.31 - $38.78 an hour

Join the opening team at **Char House**, a brand-new upscale steakhouse dedicated to delivering exceptional food, polished service, and a warm, elegant dining experience. We’re looking for hospitality professionals who take pride in their work and have a passion for food, wine, and creating memorable guest moments.

While fine dining experience is not required, a solid background in quality hospitality environments and an understanding of elevated service standards is essential.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles (restaurant, hotel, events, etc.)
- Confident knowledge of food, wine, and service etiquette — or a strong desire and willingness to learn
- Professional presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, confident attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stay composed, attentive, and detail-focused in a fast-paced setting
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
- Provide full table service throughout the dining experience
- Explain the menu and answer guest questions with confidence
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and process payments (EFTPOS/cash)
- Guide guests through steak cuts and wine pairings with knowledge and enthusiasm
- Maintain a clean, organised, and elegant section at all times
- Polish cutlery, clean plates, and reset tables to fine dining standards
- Assist teammates and adapt to busy periods with a collaborative, can-do attitude
- Create a welcoming, elevated atmosphere that aligns with the Char House experience
- Anticipate guest needs and go above and beyond to exceed expectations
