Trade Support Settlement Analyst

The purposed of the role is to provide support for the Citicorp Nominees through the processing of Security transactions. **In this role, you're expected to**: - Responsibility for Monitoring the Trade Support instructions which includes SRN to HIN transfer and HIN to SRN transactions - Delivery management/Depot balancing of Equities for both listed and Unlisted Securities - Ensure daily cash journals are calculated and completed with digital timestamps. - Ownership of control functions and all post execution exception processes such as daily reconciliation and reporting Fails. - Responsibility for monitoring exception reports and reconciliations - signoffs, to ensure all tasks are resolved/addressed in a timely manner. - Responsibility for Reporting, investigation and follow up of Failed Trades, metrics, and Commentary - Liaise with clients, both internal and external for resolution of unlisted trades and breaks as part of the Hold adjust report. - Participate in Testing such as system testing, MCA testing - Comply with the ethical standards contained in the Citigroup Code of Conduct. - Understand ASX and ASIC Market Integrity Rules in conjunction with the Settlement Process - Adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements. - Responsible for supporting the business unit to ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures, such as Manual Payments Policy. - Cross Train in other settlement functions within the team such as NZ settlements, Account Operator and Third-Party Clearing Settlements - Understanding of general business and financial Markets principles. - Experience in or understanding of Custody Operations. - Knowledge of Local Markets from a Market Settlements perspective. - Basic Accounting knowledge with a base to develop Securities accounting knowledge. Understanding of proofing concepts and Two-way reconciliation processes. - Minimum Software literacy of ‘intermediate’ in relation to Excel and MS Word. - Appreciation and understanding of the key controls such as the importance and of outstanding settlement reconciliation items. - Basic knowledge of core Banking /Settlement products preferred. - Ability to work in a team with a willingness to learn from others, share knowledge and accept added responsibility as and when required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Able to recognize problems early and offer suitable solutions for resolution. - Identify opportunities for simplification and streamlining of processes LI-Hybrid - **Job Family Group**: Operations - Transaction Services - **Job Family**: Securities and Derivatives Processing - **Time Type**: Full time - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
