A Tier 1 Construction Company is looking for a Development Manager to join their team in Canberra. You will be responsible for leading and delivering a large retirement village development. The Development will include 45 Independent Living Units, community infrastructure and the facilitation of an Aged Care facility on an adjoining site.

**The Role**:

- Lead the project team on site to achieve targets by safely and efficiently delivering the project, liaising with the community and local government, sales teams whilst optimising revenues and project KPI’s.
- Formulate a design brief and possess strong knowledge of the property development industry, including costing, design, masterplanning, planning and commercial performance of projects
- Closely manage the progress and status of the project and ensure appropriate and robust project governance to realise the development vision and project outcomes
- Develop, manage, and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, building networks and leveraging relationships to maximise opportunities.
- Provide inspirational Leadership to the Development teams in the region

**About you**:

- Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering, planning or other property related field and/or relevant property development experience
- Experience in managing the entire development lifecycle for commercial and residential projects (Retirement Village project experience is highly desired).
- Strong communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
