Your new role

As the Program Development Manager, you will lead a team responsible for developing a portfolio of complex electricity infrastructure projects-from initial concept through to execution readiness. These projects include substations, transmission and distribution networks, and other critical assets. You'll oversee technical, environmental, commercial, and stakeholder aspects, ensuring projects are strategically aligned and efficiently delivered. This role also involves establishing best-practice development frameworks and collaborating across internal and external teams to drive successful outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in project development and design within the energy utility sector
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Strategic and tactical thinking with a focus on innovation and problem-solving
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
