**The Role**

The role will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

The duties of an APS6 ILS Practitioner occupation in Defence include the following:

- Develop and contribute to strategies and plans for logistics inventory management and perform activities that support Defence units.
- Accountable to develop policies, procedures and processes for logistics inventory management.
- Compose responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on performance in logistics inventory management.
- Advise on logistics inventory management activities, policies and legislation for Defence units.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
- Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.

**About our Team**
The Cargo Helicopter and Uncrewed Surveillance Program Office (CHUSPO) delivers through-life support for the CH-47F Chinook and Army Aviation System Branch supported fleet of Uncrewed Aerial Systems.

The Program Office is made up of the Cargo Helicopter Management Unit (CHMU), the Uncrewed Aerial Systems Management Unit (UASMU), the Army Uncrewed Aerial Systems Program Office (AUASPO) and the Business Management Unit (BMU).

CHMU is the CASG organisation responsible for providing sustainment (product engineering, logistics and contracting) support, and limited acquisition activities for the Army's Cargo Helicopter capability, the CH-47F Chinook Helicopter.

The Logistics team are responsible for the management and execution of CH-47F in-service logistics support and disposals (on-going), including direct responsibility of meeting inventory and Repairable item Demand Satisfaction Rates.
