**The Role**
As the Army Uncrewed Aerial System Acquisition Project Office (AUAS APO) APS5 Project Finance Scheduler Officer, you will be part of our core Project Control function. You will be empowered to perform and achieve complex budget planning and scheduling work under limited direction. Your role will be key in maintaining a well-developed understanding of, and compliance with, relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making processes, and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
Your expertise in budget, cost, financial analysis, and scheduling will enable you to make independent decisions and provide advice based on legislation, policy, and procedures. You will conduct specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, and perform procedural and administrative support work to achieve results for the supported integrated project teams.
There may be opportunities for you to lead and coordinate a team, providing advice and assistance on methods of task completion. You will be expected to review and develop the quality of work undertaken by others and identify opportunities for on-the-job training within the AUAS APO.
You will engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve AUAS APO outcomes. Your contributions towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development will be valued and supported.

**About our Team**
The Cargo Helicopter and Uncrewed Surveillance Program Office (CHUSPO) delivers through-life support for the CH-47F Chinook and Army Aviation System Branch supported fleet of Uncrewed Aerial Systems. The Program Office is made up of the Cargo Helicopter Management Unit (CHMU), the Uncrewed Aerial Systems Management Unit (UASMU), the Engineering Management Unit (EMU), the Army Uncrewed Aerial Systems Acquisition Program Office (AUAS APO) and the Business Management Unit (BMU).
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost, financial analysis, and scheduling, with a proven ability to provide advice based on legislation, and procedures.
- An understanding of legislative frameworks and government decision-making processes relevant to Defence's mission.
- Experience in delivering budget support, including coordination of budget preparation, financial performance monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform procedural and administrative support work to achieve results for the supported integrated project teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve team outcomes.
- A proactive approach to self-improvement and professional development, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in the role.
