Agile Delivery Manager

The role involves extensive interaction with stakeholders

As well as the technical aspects of the role, you will also be expected to manage agile teams daily or as required. You will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing impediments to their work and mentoring and developing team members.

IT Delivery Centre of Excellence’s Enterprise Community is responsible for providing managed services support across all systems.
- Please note this is a fixed term contract position up to 12 months._

**Responsibilities**:
**The **responsibilities** of this position included but are not limited to the following**:

- Ensure team(s) maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery
- Maintain reports, records, and documentation to reflect department activities
- Own the process and outcomes for resolving client issues
- Assist in the monitoring and scheduling of daily activities of system support analysts
- Determining the development approach options and recommending the most effective approach
- Engaging with business users, business/technical analysts, solution architects, vendors and others to understand needs and requirements for project and maintenance development tasks
- Ensuring the delivery of quality programs of all levels of complexity in alignment with business requirements and solution architecture for project and maintenance activities
- Ensuring that the appropriate level of testing and support during system testing and implementation activities for all levels of complexity programs
- Providing input to the programming practices and standard to ensure these are up-to-date and of a high quality standard
- Challenging existing processes and practices to continuously drive efficiencies and technology delivery performance

**About you**:
**To be successful in the role you will have the following**:

- Ability to demonstrate and display HCF Values: Step Forward, Stay Human, Walk in their Shoes, Make it Better and Get There Together.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field gained through 8 or more years of experience in a similar development environment
- Strong analytical, organisational and presentation skills are essential, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in order to manage expectations and issues effectively and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
- The skills and ability to promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each team member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution, whilst encouraging a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team
- Perform consulting for key clients to ensure strategies and goals align
- Acting as the main point of contact and expert when implementing solutions
- Managing the scope and scheduling of a project with an Agile approach
- Providing transparency through consistent reporting and communication for internal and external stakeholders
- Bringing in change and improvements for the performance and quality of projects
- Excellent knowledge of system development lifecycle methodologies and working knowledge in Agile delivery, practices and SCRUM methodology
- Highly skilled in analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting, debugging and performance tuning
- Excellent understanding of relational databases
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
