About the role
Reporting to the National Government Relations Manager, you’ll lead state-level advocacy strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, and create high-quality advocacy materials to support RACGP’s strategic goals. You’ll engage with State Faculty Chairs, Ministers, officials, and other key stakeholders to advance policy initiatives and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
**In this role, you'll also**:
Develop and execute state-focused government relations strategies in alignment with the RACGP Advocacy Plan 2024-25.
Build and maintain high-level relationships with Ministers, elected officials, departmental representatives, and other stakeholders.
Create and oversee high-quality advocacy materials, including briefs, submissions, and position statements, to advance RACGP objectives.
Provide expert advice, support strategic initiatives, and coordinate advocacy campaigns and events to achieve organisational goals.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in government relations or advocacy.
Strong knowledge of Australia's healthcare and general practice.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.
