About the role

We're looking for a highly experienced Government Relations and Communications professional to join our Melbourne team in a full-time capacity.

We're seeking a trusted advisor who can help clients cut through complexity and build influence across the political landscape. You'll bring at least 8 years' experience in government or senior advisory roles, backed by strong Victorian Government networks and a knack for deepening connections across a range of stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, delivering high-quality outcomes with professionalism, adaptability and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a strong understanding of government, politics, policy development, communications, media, and campaigning.
• Is an exceptional communicator — both written and verbal — with strong analytical ability.
• Is collaborative, adaptable, and proactive, able to lead projects and teams with confidence.
• Builds trust quickly and forges strong, enduring relationships.
• Delivers high-quality work under pressure, managing multiple priorities with professionalism and insight.

Typical practical skills and experience should include:

• At least 8 years' experience in government or senior government relations roles.
• Established Victorian Government networks.
• Strong strategic communications capability and political insight.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Politics or Social Science.
• Experience in key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, transport, planning, treasury or PMO is highly regarded.
