Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Governance, the Policy and Governance Advisor will ensure that LHA’s corporate governance requirements and procedures are clearly communicated throughout the Authority; draft, review, and revise our governance procedures and policies; and support the development and implementation of our strategic, business, and project plans.

The Victorian Government established the Labour Hire Licensing Authority (LHA) to introduce a licensing system to regulate the provision of labour hire services across Victoria. The LHA undertakes a range of licensing, compliance and enforcement activities, maintains public registers and conducts research and education in accordance with the _Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 _(Vic) (Act).

**About the role**

The Strategy and Governance Branch has a key opportunity for an experienced, motivated and highly organised Policy and Governance Advisor. The primary functions of this position are to support the establishment and maintenance of LHA's corporate governance practices and procedures, and help ensure compliance with our responsibilities as a Victorian Government regulator.

Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Governance, the Policy and Governance Advisor will ensure that LHA's corporate governance requirements and procedures are clearly communicated throughout the Authority; draft, review, and revise our governance procedures and policies; and support the development and implementation of our strategic, business, and project plans.

The Policy and Governance Advisor will draw on their generalist skills to advise the Leadership and Executive Teams on a range of policy and governance matters, including in relation to performance measurement and reporting, committee governance, integrity, privacy, and freedom of information (FOI). The Policy and Governance Advisor will also support the whole of the LHA with corporate policy and governance advice to support optimal regulatory, operational, and organisational performance.

This role has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.
