Patient Services Team Leader

In this full time role based in Richmond, you will work alongside the Manager of Patient Services and the Leadership Team to ensure the Patient Services team provides a streamlined and efficient approach to elective and emergency admissions. This covers all aspect of the patient’s journey prior to admission including theatre bookings, clerical pre-admissions, health fund eligibility checks and the admission of the patient. The role will also involve responding promptly to enquiries and requests, handling patient accounts, as well as general administrative duties including data entry. The Patient Services Centre Richmond is open 7 days a week from 0600hrs to 2000hrs. You will need to be flexible to work a variety of shifts across the weekly roster. **You will make an impact by**: - A strong customer focus to ensure a positive patient experience from booking to admission. - Coaching and developing employees in the many aspects of Patient Services. - Creating a positive team culture through new-starter orientation, recruitment activity, team leadership and roster management - Having excellent communication skills - Exceptional attention to detail - An ability to cope under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs **To be successful in this role...** Your well-developed administration, customer service and people skills see you adjust quickly and work effectively as part of any team that you join.
