Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee and optimise our wind resourcing projects, with a primary focus on Met Mast operations. This position is vital for maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering innovation in our projects.
This role is in a high-growth industry, with a company that has a proven track record of high safety standards and innovation. The right person will report directly to the Commercial and Operations Directors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operations Management**:Oversee end-to-end technical operations for wind resourcing projects, including installation, inspection, calibration, maintenance, and decommissioning activities, with a strong emphasis on Met Mast operations. Manage implemented strategies to improve operational efficiency and project timelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
**Team Leadership and Collaboration**:Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, onsite teams, admins, and subcontractors involved in wind resourcing projects. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance skill levels and performance. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to align technical operations with project requirements.
**Quality Assurance and Safety**: Develop and enforce strict quality assurance protocols for all technical operations. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation.
**Project Planning and Execution**:Create detailed technical plans, schedules, and budgets for wind resourcing operations. Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and tools required for projects. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and objectives.
**Performance Monitoring and Reporting**: Track and analyse performance metrics for technical operations and provide regular reports to directors. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance. Maintain thorough documentation of all technical operations, including reports, drawings, and maintenance logs.
**Innovation and Technology Integration**: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the wind resourcing and renewable energy industry. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the reliability of wind resourcing systems.
**What we're looking for**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical operations, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Bachelor level in Engineering / Project Management or similar
- Strong experience with Met Mast operations is highly preferred and will be considered very strongly.
- Experience in construction is also required.
**Skills**:Strong technical knowledge of wind resourcing structures, systems, and associated equipment. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and reports. Excellent leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and clients. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
**Other Requirements**:Willingness to travel to project sites as required. Ability to work in challenging environments and manage on-site operations.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
