JMAC Freight and Logistics is an Australian freight management company based in Tweed Heads, on the border of QLD and NSW. We provide flexible, Australia-wide transport solutions covering everything from standard freight to complex project cargo. Backed by a strong network of trusted carrier partners and subcontractor drivers, we have the capability and experience to move all types of freight — from small parcels and pallets to oversized plant and equipment.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated professional to take charge of our Specialised Freight Operations. This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating all high-sensitivity, time-critical and complex freight movements. You'll work closely with our customers, carrier partners, and internal team to ensure each job is executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Schedule and coordinate all specialised and complex freight movements

• Oversee despatch, tracking and delivery to ensure timely and safe outcomes

• Communicate with customers, drivers and subcontractors to ensure premium service and strong relationships

• Ensure compliance with NHVR (National Heavy Vehicle Regulator) regulations, CoR (Chain of Responsibility) and company safety standards

• Lead toolbox meetings, incident investigations, and corrective actions

• Collaborate with the Admin Team and Managing Director to ensure all processes are followed and communication is seamless

• Solve problems and resolve issues as they arise

• Assist with chasing leads, preparing quotes and growing new business

• Assist with general transport operations as required

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in transport management, heavy haulage and oversize/over-mass transport

• Experience in driving heavy vehicles is advantageous

• Strong knowledge of CoR, NHVR regulations, national gazette notices, OSOM permits and compliance

• High regard for safety and professionalism

• Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills

• A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset

• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

• Basic to intermediate MS Office and logistics software skills
