**Segment Manager - Chemicals, Oil & Gas**:

Join us as Segment Manager - Chemicals, Oil & Gas for the Electrification Business Area where you will be creating end user acceptance and specification offering within the target segment(s). Defining and implementing sales and marketing strategies for the assigned segment in order to achieve ABB market penetration and growth aspirations. Reporting to the Solutions and Segment Manager and this position will be based in Perth, Australia.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Defining, implementing, and reviewing the segment sales strategy. Driving the growth of the top line in target segment(s) and profitable growth by focusing on penetration, innovation, and expansion
- Being responsible for achieving key targets for the segment(s) in the specified market. Defining appropriate local targets for the sales unit, based on key objectives
- Communicating the end user value proposition for the target segment (internally and externally). Supporting local sales organization to have an effective perception in the target segment(s)
- Ensuring the major accounts in the segment(s) are identified and prioritized. May act as Account Manager for one or more major accounts in the country
- Building and maintaining strong relationships at senior levels with the key customers, stakeholders, and other decision makers. Fostering relationships with various stakeholders to support the segment strategy
- Working closely with the relevant sales organization to help in the identification and capture of future business. Driving the capture of end user/third party agreements
- Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements and prices across segments
- Ensuring both self and team always act with the highest standards of integrity and Health and Safety

**Your background**:

- Engineering degree or another relevant course
- Minimum 10 years of related industry experience including experience working as sales and/or business development manager within the relative market segments
- Excellent experience in building and growing sales and market strategy.
- Proven experience and understanding of Australasia market
- Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, an entrepreneurial mindset and a professional, “hands-on” workstyle
- Strong people leadership/Influencing capabilities. Ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in contract negotiations, risk management, commercial and legal terms and Ability to navigate in a dynamically changing environment. Flexible, resilient creative thinker
