Our Technology department at WesTrac is currently working on some world leading Caterpillar technology and is looking for an enthusiastic, technology driven team member to join the team as the **Technology Product Manager - Mining Technology.**

Reporting to the **Group Manager - Customer Performance**, the Technology Product Manager ensures that deployed and commissioned MineStar solutions meet customers’ requirements and Product performance service levels. The role manages the introduction of CAT MineStar Technology Products and Solutions into the market, through a fit for purpose sales go to market strategy and a standard Product Introduction and Product Readiness process. In addition to this, the role manages an overarching Product Improvement approach, providing assistance with Product Issues Management, Product Continuous Improvement and Product Enhancements processes with CAT and Mining customers.

To be successful in this role you need to be a strategic thinker from a Sales and Product perspective, while able to articulate tactical Product Implementation and Product Improvement plans for customers. The role requires strong communication across a variety of CAT, WesTrac and Mining stakeholders. You will have a naturally collaborative nature and will be able to align multiple stakeholders and initiatives across different teams, to get a better outcome.

**About You**

To successfully fulfil the role expectations, you will be able to demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of seven years industry related experience
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a Mining Technology or a Product Management related role, in earthmoving Operations
- High level understanding of the value proposition of Mining Technology Products, particularly around Safety, Operations, Maintenance and Autonomy.
- Strong understanding of Asset or Product lifecycle, applied to Mining Technology
- Strong knowledge of information systems, applied technology and equipment technology solutions
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Issue and risk mitigation, negotiating skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful relationships
- Advanced communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
- Ability to analyse data and compile reports
- Desirable - knowledge of DBSi, Caterpillar systems (SiS etc.), Caterpillar technologies (MineStar, etc) and WesTrac business processes

This is a full-time permanent position based at our office in South Guildford, on a 5/2 roster, with occasional travel to Mining operational areas on a non-roster basis.
