**Job Overview**:
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic person with a good strategic thinking, to help us expand our clientele within the Arboriculture industry. You will be at the front line of the company's growth, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Reporting to the Group General Manager and working in strong collaboration with the Executive team, our sales and communications departments. You will actively participate in business planning, tender success analysis and the evolution of business improvement and tendering procedures.

Frequently liaising with operations to ensure resource capacity is fully utilised and will need to assess and address the technical and commercial risks as part of your winning bid strategies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and implement winning bid strategies for all bids, driving the development of unique and compelling value propositions to existing and new Clients.
- Implement and Lead the bid and tender process, in conjunction with the Estimating Team
- Participate in business strategic planning, tender success analysis and the evolution of business improvement and tendering procedures.
- Develop growth strategies and plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.
- Research business opportunities and viable income streams.
- Follow industry trends and identify potential areas where the company can make a competitive move.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and close business deals.
- Draft, submit and review tenders & contracts.
- Build relationships with existing clients in an attempt to increase their current investment.
- Provide feedback and advice to other company operations, such as marketing and sales departments.
- Report on successes and areas needing improvements to the CEO and provide progress reports regarding the business development department's efforts.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in business development, tender writer, or a relevant role in the Arboriculture/Environmental / Civil industry.
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with arboriculture industry's regulations and best practices.
- Ability to build rapport and foster collaborative relationships.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
