We do this through clear communications, genuine engagement and marketing campaigns that resonate with people because they are focused on delivering better outcomes for people, wherever they live. The division innovates with communications approaches to support organisational, cultural and behavioural change. **About the Opportunity** The Communications and Engagement Lead is accountable for developing and delivering Community and Stakeholder Communications Engagement plans for the portfolio assigned within the Strategy and Policy branch. They will utilise their excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage community, council and industry stakeholders in support of these plans. This is a fixed-term full-time role and is a great opportunity to be involved in a driven and collaborative team. **About You** - Well developed skills in developing and implementing significant community and industry consultation and stakeholder engagement programs across a diverse portfolio of strategic challenges. - Negotiation and influencing skills to develop and maintain partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to identify and manage issues that could impact on organisational reputation or achievement of strategic objectives. - Strong project management skills with an ability to lead complex communication and engagement projects. - Ability to provide expert advice to business areas and senior management on strategic engagement opportunities to support activities, projects and programs undertaken by DoT and the Victorian Government. - Ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop employees in effective community engagement, communication and stakeholder management. **Culture and Benefits** The Department of Transport and Planning is committed to building a culture of developing our people to achieve great outcomes for the Victorian transport network.
