**The opportunity**
As part of this role, you will help to transition a set of risks and processes from Investments into the Financial Control function. This is a unique and amazing opportunity that will see you utilize your extensive investment operations and / or unit pricing skills to help further develop a function, a team and a role. You will assist in uplifting and maturing processes as part of an industry leading, growing superannuation fund.
In addition to the above, your role will be responsible for:
- Driving increased transparency and oversight in relation to the calculation of daily unit prices
- Monitoring, development and oversight of governance frameworks underpinning investment inputs obtained from the Fund’s Custodian
- Onboarding new investments and fees into the Unit Pricing structure and ensuring the validations and inclusion of investment valuations in daily unit pricing processes are delivered
- Portfolio establishment and set-up in line with the appropriate governance framework
- Review of regulatory returns in addition to leading the onboarding of new regulatory requirements associated with investment or custodian data
- Assisting with the development, monitoring and maintenance of the Investment Governance Framework, the External Reporting Governance Accountability Framework and underlying policies
**About you
**As a successful Finance Governance Specialist at UniSuper you will have extensive experience in investment management/ operations and/ or unit pricing, ideally from within the superannuation industry.
You will have gained experience successfully partnering with internal and external stakeholders and your analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills will shine through. In addition to this you will possess:
- CA, CPA or CFA qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: VBA and spreadsheets essential
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to build governance frameworks
- A challenging mindset, an eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement
- A methodical working style with an attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
