**The role**:
The Finance Analyst is responsible for high quality numerical and policy analysis to management on departmental and whole of government.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide budget, financial and performance related analysis and advice to management across a range of departmental and whole of government.
- Work with portfolio agencies in coordinating departmental information requests.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the business drivers and priorities and use these to develop insights, provide targeted advice.
- Undertake research activities and prepare submissions, reports and briefing materials on a range of strategic financial management and budgeting issues.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**Skills Required**:
- Strong experience working as a Finance Analyst/Officer
- Experience with financial month end close
- Experience with cost allocation, forecasting and financial reporting
- Prior experience about Excel and Word software packages
- Prior Expereience working within the Public Sector
- Completed CPA, Accounting or Finance Degree
