**Role impact & contribution**
This role provides an opportunity for you to be at the forefront of the NSW Government’s engagement in sustainable and impact investment.
You will work within a supportive and passionate team to deliver the _Social Impact Investment Policy 2.0_, facilitating better social, environmental and financial outcomes for communities across NSW.
As an Associate, you will undertake research, complete financial and impact analysis, and provide operational and governance support related to the development and delivery of sustainable and impact investment initiatives, policies and frameworks.
You will also support the team with its governance responsibilities, which include secretariate and strategic support to several of NSW Treasury’s committees.
Initially, your role may include supporting:
- Collaborative discussions with Aboriginal organisations to design new impact investments that improve education outcomes for First Nations girls
- Outcome reporting, analysis and oversight of existing impact investments
- Identifying suitable assets for the NSW Sustainability Bond Programme and support for its related governance groups
- Secretariat for key governance committees within NSW Treasury, including the Asset and Liability Committee

- demonstrated passion and commitment to drive better social and environmental outcomes
- experience in financial/economic analysis (e.g. cost-benefit analysis or financial modelling), impact investment, philanthropy and/or social policy
- understanding of financial concepts and/or impact measurement and evaluation
- ability to conduct research and communicate policy, financial and/or economic analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing)
- strong project management and interpersonal skills, including ability and confidence working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
- ability to think critically and adapt to and thrive in a continuously changing business and policy environment
- minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field
- tertiary qualifications in economics, social policy, finance, law or other relevant areas are highly regarded.
