**Why our team needs you**
We are currently looking for a Team Leader to join our Planning Services Team within Council’s Development Services Department.
With a focus on developing a high level of group performance, the Team Leader has a number of significant key responsibilities: Dealing with Priority Development Projects, Create a Customer Service Culture, Drive Cross-Functional Partnerships, Drive Efficiency, Implement Improvement Efforts/Initiatives and modelling the organization’s vision and values.
Due to an internal secondment, this role will be on a fixed term, 18 month contract and would consider applicants seeking a external secondment arrangement from other relevant government organisations.
**What you’ll bring to our team**
Along with strong town planning experience and exceptional customer service skills, you will need to bring to the role:
- Qualifications and/or extensive experience in project management.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering and enabling positive planning outcomes for the community.
- Collaboratively influence and facilitate planning outcomes across all levels of statutory authorities, industry associations and businesses to deliver positive outcomes.
- Ability to liaise, coordinate and communicate with a diverse range of people both internal and external to Council.
- A solution orientated approach to resolve complex planning issues and the ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
