An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Operations Manager - Mental Health in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD)

You will provide leadership, guidance, supervision and management of the adult inpatient services at Shellharbour Hospital, adult community and inpatient mental health services in the Shoalhaven, community rehabilitation across the District and some specialist services throughout the region.

As a key member of the Mental Health Executive Team you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of mental Health facilities at the new Shellharbour and Shoalhaven hospitals. In addition you will oversee the continued implementation of our Pathway to Community Living Initiative and new programs like our Shoalhaven suicide Prevention Outreach Team

**Selection Criteria**:

- Holding relevant tertiary qualifications and/or working towards or equivalent experience.
- Recent senior level experience managing strategic, complex workforce and operational aspects of a large Public Mental health Service.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of current mental health clinical practice, governance and legislation guiding mental health service delivery within a large Public Mental Health Service.
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Significant problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation and delegation skills with demonstrated capacity to achieve satisfactory agreed outcomes.
- Proven experience in facility and clinical service management across multiple sites with a strong focus on consumer care and quality systems.
- Demonstrated experience in workplace safety and risk management, including knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative and industrial processes.
- Unrestricted Class C Driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Region and other areas as required.
