Lead the future of sustainable waste management

An exciting opportunity for a passionate and results-driven engineering professional to oversee and lead landfill and resource recovery operations as Operations Manager at our Dunmore Recycling and Waste Disposal Depot.

Working closely with the Executive Manager Waste Services, you will collaborate with a dynamic and forward-thinking team to deliver customer-centric waste management services, deliver outstanding value in sustainability, safety and business performance for our community.

The role will drive operational performance and lead business innovation, as well as manage and provide advice on the operational, financial, environmental and regulatory performance of the Dunmore site.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Degree qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or other relevant and equivalent tertiary qualifications with extensive relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver strategic projects
  • Demonstrated experience providing safety leadership and ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements
  • Extensive experience in landfill management, waste operations, environmental risk management, and remediation
  • Experience in supporting and leading waste operational staff

  • Permanent full time, 35 hours per week with access to flexi-time
  • Commencing salary range from $110,048 - $116,784 per annum (based on qualifications and experience)
  • Plus 12% superannuation

  • May be eligible for Civil Liability Allowance
