Freight Coordinator

**Melbourne Airport, VIC**
**Full-Time | Rotating Roster | Monday to Sunday | Start times between 4:30 AM - 1:30 AM**

Are you ready to launch your aviation logistics career or take the next step in a dynamic, high-paced environment? We're currently seeking a proactive and safety-focused **Freight Coordinator**to join our dedicated team at **Melbourne Airport**.

As a Freight Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the **smooth, safe, and timely movement of cargo**from the warehouse to the airline ramp - helping to keep flights on schedule and cargo moving efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct safety checks on all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) prior to use
- Accurately transmit freight manifest information in a timely manner
- Record and maintain relevant documentation
- Professionally assist clients and stakeholders
- Build collaborative relationships with internal staff and industry partners
- Complete and maintain compliance in Dangerous Goods Acceptance, Load Restraint, and Security Training
- Ensure accurate cargo dispatch aligned with Airline Systems, Freight Manifest, and Barrows Tag
- Accompany cargo with appropriate documentation, manifest, and NOTOC
- Perform additional duties as required

**HSE & Compliance Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and report hazards immediately
- Ensure personal and team safety at all times
- Participate in safety improvement activities
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Skills & Experience**
- Minimum 12 months in a similar aviation or logistics role
- Knowledge of aircraft load control and safety procedures
- Understanding of CASA regulatory requirements
- Competent computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office

**Qualifications**
- Current Driver’s License
- Valid ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
- Forklift License (LF)

- **Rotating Roster (Monday-Sunday)**
- **Start times range between 4:30 AM to 1:30 AM**(flexibility required)
- On-site parking and uniform provided
